There is an increasing trend in the Automotive Industry towards integrating third party apps/modules/ Appstore with Infotainment System.  This makes the underlying IVI implementations vulnerable to an attacker who might gain control of the Vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) or other safety critical modules in the system.
